MELISSA PARKOS
I am a driven entrepreneur with a strong foundation in small business development and global corporate experience. I began my career at Best Buy Corp, where I held progressive roles across Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Marketing, including international assignments in China, Turkey, and Mexico City. These experiences sharpened my strategic thinking and provided a comprehensive, real-world understanding of how businesses operate at scale.
After starting a family, I intentionally stepped away from corporate life to pursue consulting for small businesses. What began as a passion project quickly evolved into a full-time endeavor. I went on to found Jori & June, a women’s clothing and accessories boutique outside of Chicago, and within three years successfully expanded to a second location in Stillwater. Building and scaling my own businesses gave me firsthand insight into the challenges entrepreneurs face daily—insight that became the foundation for my next chapter.
Together with my co-founder, Emily, I launched Good + Well Consulting to support small business owners in meaningful, practical ways. Our mission is to streamline operations, reduce overwhelm, and allow founders to focus on what they do best—growing their vision. Every strategy we implement is informed by lived experience, not theory.
At the core of my work is a commitment to authenticity, transparency, and human-centered leadership. I believe in sharing real stories—celebrating wins while acknowledging the challenges—because growth is built in both.

I’m Emily, co-founder of Good + Well Consulting, where I’m passionate about helping business owners gain clarity, momentum, and sustainable growth through thoughtful, strategic solutions. With a background in brand strategy, marketing, and small business operations, I thrive on diving into complex challenges and turning them into clear, manageable steps that create real impact.
What drives me most is problem solving — identifying what’s working, what’s not, and offering actionable guidance that moves businesses forward. Whether it’s refining a brand’s message, optimizing systems, or helping founders reconnect with their core purpose, I’m here to help turn big ideas into meaningful progress.
Over the years, I’ve partnered with a diverse range of small businesses, from solo entrepreneurs to growing teams, and I’m constantly inspired by the dedication behind every brand. I know how overwhelming it can be to balance vision, growth, and day-to-day demands. That’s why I approach every client relationship with care, curiosity, and a solution-focused mindset—because business owners deserve a partner who sees the big picture and sweats the details alongside them.
Together with my business partner Melissa, I co-founded Good + Well Consulting to offer intentional, human-centered support for founders who want to grow with purpose. We also launched The Goodery, a wellness-forward brand that embodies our shared values of simplicity, nourishment, and community.
When I’m not supporting clients or managing The Goodery, I enjoy life in Stillwater, MN with my husband, two boys, and our rescue pup. Assisting & coaching business owners through business systems, confident decision-making & building brands that feel good to run is what fuels me every day.

OUR CONNECTION
Melissa and Emily’s partnership began through a chance connection at a child’s birthday party, quickly evolving into a strong professional friendship.
Emily was impressed by Melissa’s remarkable ability to manage multiple successful businesses across different states while maintaining a balanced family life and nurturing meaningful relationships. Her intentional approach and disciplined work ethic, combined with a dynamic creative energy, distinguish her in the business world.
Conversely, Melissa recognized from their first meeting Emily’s genuine warmth and intelligence, qualities that create an immediate sense of trust and connection.
Both women share the common experience of balancing the demands of running households, raising children, and growing businesses. Their aligned values and complementary strengths made the decision to collaborate an obvious one. Together, they combine their expertise to provide enhanced, well-rounded support to their clients.
Their strong connection—and many shared moments supporting their children’s extracurricular activities—led not only to the formation of their consulting firm but also to the launch of The Goodery, a multi-channel startup based in their hometown in 2021. This venture offers them valuable, firsthand insight into the complexities of small business operations, knowledge they actively incorporate into their consulting & coaching practices to better serve their clients.
